Singapore; racial aceptance. Contributor: H2 from Singapore.
"What is one thing you like about your country?"
"This is a photo taken at Pulau Ubin, on the Chinese Tomb Sweeping day. Somewhere close by, an Indian company was holding a celebratory event and life goes on for everyone. Just like how a Chinese funeral and a Malay wedding can be happening at the same time in close proximity, this is a common sight I used not to know is unique to Singapore.
I'm most proud of our multiracial trait; how we all practise racial acceptance and live together harmoniously. It reflects the innate value of indiscrimination regardless of race, language or religion built in every Singaporean and is a constant reminder of the turbulence undergone and hardwork put into by the previous generation. This is what I love the most about Singapore and what makes me most proud of being a Singaporean."
